Description:
Find attached an access2002 database. What I need is a database (or something similar) just like this that a user can run from a CD without having to isntall anything on their computer. I have an autoloader so can program up that side of things. I would ideally like to control things from this end so a solution that I can manage would be best suited to me.
NOTE: I do not have to modify/edit/delete records simply view them, read only.
IT MUCH BE ABLE TO RUN FROM CD WITHOUT THE NEED TO INSTALL ANYTHING ON THE USERS PC.
Note I dont mind if the data is held in a text file and some kind of application built to search the text file. As long as I can perform everything that happens in the example database I have uploaded.
I would ideally like you to send me a copy of a samll DB/app that I can copy to cd and test, don't care what the db is as long and I can do searches and display results.
The look of this is vital to me. Regardless of the application I will need it to look just like the example I ahve provided (which is not finished, the final project will 2/3 weeks away, but I am looking to get an image that I can burn now and test before then).
let me know the detais of you solution and which software you would be using. Please feel free to ask any questions.

hello.. I have 4 years of experience working with Borland Delphi.. Delphi is the develop language that I would use for make your project.. delphi has its own VCL (Visual Control Library).. so, once you compile the program, you dnot need any additional component to install on the clients machines.. I'm also planning to use text files as the backend, delphi also implements quick functions to read data from text files.. I've attached an example of the app that looks exactly as the access form.. dont have enought time right now to make this demo full functional.. but it is very simple so I will get it ready in one day..
