Description:

I run the discussion forum for a small guild on asheron's call 2 (online game).

You can see my simple (and as my users call it: "busy") home page at: http:\\www.amon-ra.net

What I'd like to have is this:
1) the home page needs a link to the forums (you can see the link on the home page)
2) I'd like to have a little monthly calendar on the page where a person can click the date and see what activities are going on.
3) I'd like the graphics redone to something less "busy".
4) I'd like a small area on the home page that I can post news or an event (Perhaps scrolling box?)
5) Load time should be acceptable to a 56k modem (30 sec or less) *UNLESS* there is a flash presentation, then that time limit is dismissed.
6) if any sounds/music are used, they should be pleasant - not too loud nor obnoxious (ask if unsure).

I'll post some screenshots from the game on a link on the webpage so that you can incorporate them into graphics you make. (My users requested the page be a little less "egyptian".)

The easier it is for me to use this page, the better :)

With your bid, please tell me what you would design. (optionally provide an example if you want/have one done.)

Deliverables:
1) Complete web page with instructions on installation.

2) Instructions in a seperate file to tell me how to add events to the calendar and the "news box"

Platform:
this runs on an apache web server, w/PHP and mysql available.

this site does NOT have access to ASP! But I do have access to my own cgi-bin directory.

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Hello there,

I have created a couple home page mock-ups at www.softwareodyssey.com/clientarea/amon-ra for your review. They are big right now because I wanted to give you full impact, final would be optimized for speed.

I will also supply the code for the .asp calendar and news blog.

I got really excited creating this image! Hopefully you too. If the price is too much, I'm willing to negotiate.

I can also turn it into Flash, which would be way cool... See my oldsite at www.softwareodyssey.com/oldsite.

Thank you for your consideration,

Greg Ryan
