Description:
I am developing a simulation game. For this game I will need to develop a simple “virtual desktop”. On this desktop the user will see documents arrive and will be able to read them, approve/reject them, archive them and trash them.

The desktop is a separate screen where the player handles all the “paperwork” related to the game. In effects this is just a way to give some information to the player and ask him questions.

There are fundamentally three type of documents:

1 newspaper articles
2 letters informing the player
3 letters asking questions to the player

I ma here asking for two bids:

1) generating the documents
2) managing the virtual desktop

Please specify if your bid is for both parts or for a single part.

More detail in the enclosed DOC file

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.

Platform:
The work will be developed in VB6 without DirectX. The use of third-party OCXs must be agreed upon.

Windows 32bit, probably all versions

Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Feb 25, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.

Special Conditions / Other:
I MUST have your code sent to me every max two days.

Time is very short, and if you fix a shorter deadline this will be a plus.

Also, please specify if you will be doing interpolated resizes or not (this will also be a bonus).

See the DOC for details on this point.

Additional Files:
This bid request includes IMPORTANT additional attached files. Please download and read fully before bidding.

Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements. We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

Frox,

I would like to bid on both, but could use a little more information on the desktop. If you could do a very rough sketch of how you envision this thing, on a scanned napkin if you like, I'd like to make a bid.

The document part, my understanding is, that you need 3 graphics at 100%, 25% and 8% magnification. I just did a graphic scaling function, so I can get this to you in a couple of hours.

Thanks,
Gary Baren
