Description:
I had recently started a small online membership/store
and started out building a management system to assist with tracking sales and memberships. But have been to busy with my real job to spend any real time on this project, So, I thought I'd throw the project on Rent-A-Coder. please see the .Txt document I incuded for all the details concerning this Project.
Note: because I have lost a month on this project due to a deafulting coder who had not completed the project 8 days after the deadline I will only consider
coders without negative feedback where they failed to complete a project.
Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
4) Must meet all requirements specified in the file included.
5) Code must be done in Visual Basic 5.0 or 6.0.
Platform:
Must be compatible with all platforms. (if it wont be i must be notified prior). Major portions of the code must be done in Visual Basic 5.0 or 6.0.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
Jan 1, 2003 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
Coder must maintain open contact with me and report the progress of the project on a regular basis (every 1 to 2 days) via MSN or a short Email. All specifications for the code must be completed by the deadline with no exceptions.
Failure to do either will cancel any agreement or obligation by the buyer.

This bid request includes IMPORTANT additional attached files. Please download and read fully before bidding.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Hi,
I am an excellent programmer with an unblemished record for quality. I can have your project completed on time and I respond to emails promptly.
This project you propose is not all that different in some respects from QuickStock, a Point of Sale and Stock Control System I wrote. I can have it completed within the required timeframe.
I hope to be able to use an MS Access database to store the data, as it simplifies a lot of things when it comes to querying the data. If it is neccessary to have this in text files, I can cope though.
As for the Anonymous SMTP connection you were asking for: We can make it so that the return address on your emails is any address you want (providing the selected SMPT server allows relaying - most don't in order to stop spammers). This would stop casual email address havesters. However, a really determined customer could pick through the raw email header to find your address. Your only other option is to bounce your emails off a server in some other country like spammers do, but that's illegal and beyond my abilities anyway.
I always pay proper attention to coding standards and commenting and I consider the quality of my work to be a point of pride.
I am quite excited by this job so I hope to work with you on this one.
