Description:
** Not sure why this was cancelled on October 31, 2001. This bid request was reposted and awarded to one of the bidders from this request. Our thanks to all the professional coders who responded ** Development of a Java language, four-tier loan calculator that allows the user to solve for
the one missing loan value (e.g., for given loan amount, supply interest rate and payment amount to get number of
payments). By 4-tier, this means the loan, over its lifetime, can have up to four different payments, interest rates, and payment amounts.

Deliverables:
The application should include the following capabilities:
1. Run in a Java-enabled browser (probably as an applet).
2. Display an amortization schedule in a browser window.
3. Print an amortization schedule from a browser window to any stand-alone or
networked printer.
4. Ability to run application should be disabled at a predetermined date (the current
DOS version checks a configuration file for a unique code).
5. Ability to hide columns for tiers 2 through 4.
6. Ability to set default payment frequency to 2x per month, monthly, every other
month, quarterly, 2x per year, yearly.
7. Customizable name fields (on screen and for printout) and default interest rates.

NOTE: Source code and compiled version to be delivered. All code to be sole property of our company. Successful bidder may be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Special Conditions / Other:
This is currently a DOS application for which source code is available. See screen shots in attached file.

Having looked at your specs and
the screen captures you've
included, I'm sure I can do
a nice job of developing this
loan calculator for you as a
Swing applet. I have spent the
last couple of years developing
enterprise Java applications
(client/server), and I also have
a background in complex algorithm development.

I propose to first submit to
you a prototype interface,
after which you could make requests for changes/
additions, which I will include in the final product.
I will supply complete documentation and any needed
support after the code is delivered.

I anticipate that I could deliver the completed code to you in about a month, maybe sooner.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Adam
