Description:
13/11/02

To Whom it may concern,

I would like to request perl source code(not perl cgi)
that would assist me in writing a simple program that will:

* prompt for a file name

* then prompt for a keyword

* it then prints to the screen the line number and position on the line of each occurrence of the word

* if a capital letter X is entered the program exits

* if the word does not exist in the file the program should print a message clearly indicating the word and the filename in which it does not exist.

Thank you

Deliverables:
* prompt for a file name

* then prompt for a keyword

* it then prints to the screen the line number and position on the line of each occurrence of the word

* if a capital letter X is entered the program exits

* if the word does not exist in the file the program should print a message clearly indicating the word and the filename in which it does not exist.

Thanks

Platform:
Windows 98 / xp

PERL rather than perl cgi (if that makes sense)

However pelr cgi would be acceptable

Dear buyer, this bid is to provide a command-line perl script that does what you describe. I can provide this script within an hour of acceptanct. I have ten years of programming experience in multiple languages. In particular, I have been programming in perl for seven years.

Thanks for considering my bid. Cheers, Alan.
