Description:
Current database written in Access 97 for order processing and inventory. Needs some repair and expansion to solve some problems and add functionality. Goal is to get more web based for future growth. Open to full redo of the process. Must be able to supply information readily in exel format. Reporting is very important. 1. Make iventory system work better for determining product that has been shipped off the system. Must control product, lot number, receive date, last ship date (dynamic) and expiration date 2. Attach documents to inventory items so that when orders are processed documents are automatically printed. These documents are items that are required to go with the shipment. Items like MSDS, Certificates and more. We want them to print upon processing of the order. Mostly PDF, DOCS, HTML 3. Establish web reporting from database live so customers can view information and create own reports from our database. We would like to host locally on NT Server. Our database can update web portion so customers can see data live. Need to see by customer, ship date, and inventory. 4. Attach extra fields to products for identifying specific characteristics about product with each order. Special information that relates to the product that may need to print on the pick ticket that is used for pulling the product from inventory. Ony 2-3 more fields on top of the current5 in the table will be needed. They just need to show up where needed. 5. Have 13 identical databases that need to have the information uploaded to new database upon completion. These are currently seperate databases. Just need to update them all to new database one time so we can get to the new system without losing old data. We are not against having one large database.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. Must have good followup support. This is an ever evolving project. Will need someone that will be here awhile.

Can we propose to build the whole application on web with feature like updating web and local database ? We have recently done this project for a distributor company having daily orders via phone and entering them on Local Access db. The same is sychronized with the one on the web so that their customer can track the status.
