Description:
Need to have a field in ACCESS calculate a running balance.
Deliverables:
Need to have a running balance calculated control on an ACCESS Main Form. The running balance should consist of:
A Beginning balance of Zero (0)
An Amount field (from the underlying query)
An Applied field (data populated from the subform)
A To Apply field (BB+Amount-Applied)
Please refer to picture attached
On the Main Form, there is a field called [Applied(1)], located under Amount. On the subform there is also a field called [Applied(2)] next to the Total field. I need the [Applied(1)] field on the Main form to update with values (on a running balance basis) from the Applied(2) field on the subform.
Line1: Applied (2) is $5 ; Applied (1) is also $5
Line2: Applied (2) is $100; Applied (1) should be $105
Line3: Applied (2) is $100; Applied (1) should be $205
Line4: Applied (2) is $0 ; Applied (1) should be $205
Line5: Applied (2) is $205; Applied (1) should be $405
