Designed and coded web based shipment application using ASP for front end and SQL server for back end.
The system was designed to interface with 3com&'s palm pilot utility for delivery people to use to in order to deliver a package and capture recipient&'s signature. Front end allowed clients to create and track shipments online.
Member of team that created a similar system to the one mentioned above except for being more complex and versatile. The system is a three-tier web application that utilized asp for the front end, visual basic for the Active X layer, and SQL server for the back end. What makes this system so powerful and unique is that it is completely database driven. It is a multi-client system with a GUI that is designed to change for each client&'s preference. The system performed all common tasks for package-delivery companies with the capability of adding more for each clients needs.
Designed and coded windows application in visual basic that analyzed zip codes from an excel sheet and determined common consignee fit for our companies hand-delivery network.

This coder is not as experienced at coding ASP as he claims. He insisted on a "workaround" for my project even after I told him how it could be done properly. He insisted that I change my database to suit him when the answer that I gave him clearly showed that it did not need to be done. I ended up doing the coding myself to show him. He bid cheap to get ratings but didn't want to do the work the right way. |
