however: I think this code sux. i
realize that isn't a very comforting
comment. and i welcome all criticism
on my own code too. but to say it sux
isnt fair. why does it suck?
First,
the timer. okay, yes, i agree with the
need for realtime information, but why
no

include that as an option under your
settings? update every x milliseconds.
most admin don't have a need to update
every .4 seconds. second, don't tell
us what build it is in the bar. we
don't care. put it in the about box.
give us an about box for that matter.

make a toolbar and put the settings and
advanced buttons on there.
kill the
line at the bottom and the computer's
name. noone cares that it came from
there, especially since all you are
doing with this code is to try and make
a nifty interface for net send name
msg

i did the same thing with an access
database, gave it the ability to send
to many people, gave it the ability to
format the message, and still used net
send name msg
if you really wanna
impress a lot of people, find how net
send sends it's messages, wha

api call is used, and then write an
interface that doesnt say message sent
from drach to bob on today at now but
instead to say, Message from on high.
You're fired. Have a nice day. ;) as
the only thing on the screen. i know
it is an api. i know it can be figured
out. i

just don't have the time nor the
compiler to play with it. impress us
by doing that though. instead of
making "yet another" interface for net
send. all grade schoolers should know
how to do what your program does.

drachenstern: What kind of programs did
you write at 15? Cut the kid a break!
He did a fine job. It's free, and a
great example of how the api's work.
The code is not perfect, but is a great
example!
