| | | I wanted to emulate one of my favorite games the best i could. It has a few unique features like birds freely flying around the city(animated), sometimes they seem to flock (but the biod system isn't too advanced, they see other birds and objective-points but not buildings). IF ANYONE CAN COME UP WITH A GOOD CITY GROWTH MODEL PLEASE HELP. The current city growth is based on a crappy crime equation i came up with. (Crime = (PopCount / 4) - (2 * SafetyCount))

This isn't a bug, just a file problem -
when I start up it says the birds.bas
is missing. I just added the bird.bas
(no "s") and it worked though. So if
you download it and it don't work, try
what I did because it worked for me. I
hope you make another version of this,
with enough things to do it could
become a cool game.

If we had to grade the person on what
he did, I'd give you a Good. But since
this is planet SOURCE CODE and we have
to grade on the code's
helpfulness/quality, I can't give you
Good. There's NO TABS, NO COMMENTS and
NO STRUCTURE. Everything is all on one
level, and you even forgot to get rid
of the extra enters in between the
subs/functions. The game itself is
nice, nice birds, but I'd suggest
putting more safety like Medical and
such. And make more features. Plus
make more 'differenceation' between all
the types of things you can buy.
Adding tooltips would be great too,
really great. Making it resizible, or
at least make it a bit bigger. Good
luck on further projects though. Bye.

Downloaded the citysim code and
although it states VB4 (32bit)
compatible, I can't seem to get VB4-32
to recognize it. Get an error that the
file is corrupt and cannot be loaded.
Have downloaded three times and that
isn't the problem so I expect that it
isn't VB4-32 compatible. Too bad, I was
itching to see it :) If have a
workaround for this please let me
know.

I think it is very good. Only you
should figure out how to use only one
icon for building roads.
I'll give
you a hint.
Read the above left right
and below a square and you'll get a
code. Make your graphics using this
code and roads will auto match.

K David I have updated your version
with Save, Load, Tips, Desasters,
Active X Music and new buildings.
Hopefully I shall have the roads to
auto match as well. But what I need to
know is how do I add extra buildings I
have tryed but it just dont work. I
have added them as the Freebees and
there codes are 37 and 38 I just need
coad so that they are placed in the
city instead of empty squares which you
hvae to deleate if you want to build
over them. I have set up gfx and
everything.

I added save and load games functions
and music, cheats, better equations,
and more buildings. That was a few
months ago. Then I added it to my Site
and now its avaluble on loads of toher
sites! And Ive seen some fan sites
dedecated to this CITY SIM. One of the
